The EC-funded research project AROSATEC links different process steps in the business of MRO workshops for aero turbine engine components.

The innovation of AROSATEC is to use a single data backbone during the repair work flow to connect the processes to a higher degree of integration. "Island-solutions" and stand alone processes are integrated via an open data structure which is system independent to offer enhanced flexibility. The required interfaces have been developed. Work duplication and redundancies are avoided to speed up the MRO tasks.

The major benefit of the single data-backbone is the constant availability of all data collected for the processed part, from the very first damage inspection to the final quality control at the end of the repair process. This enables you for offline work preparation and offers further successful automation and adaptive processing of i.e. engine blades and vanes.
